WORKSPACE
'Workspace' begins to push the boundaries of the screen beyond its everyday rectangular presentation and allows for a cryptic remixing of the studio as both a physical and a digital space to be used and explored in the creation of art.
Objects used in the production process - a saw, a tape measure and a can of Stella - are represented digitally and are also presented as part of the finished array along with simple MDF screens and geometric constructions creating a literal combination of digital and real tools. This presents a disconnect, or drag between the work as it was recorded in the studio and the presentation for the viewer at the point of contact - opening up what went on behind the scenes so to speak.
