OMEGA WORKSHOP
The Omega Workshop was a collaborative exhibition with Emily Fogarty and was organised by the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop as part of their Dialogues program. A continuation of my work for 'Special Affects' the video work, TV's, screens and projection were used in what was intended to be a sculptural way.
The images I used were all from 1980's adverts some of them fairly mainstream and others more obscure - but all edited in a way that removed there original context and allowed for an absurdist slightly science-fiction reading. I had also had the sponges for some time and included then at the last moment as a link between the pixilated surfaces of my videos and the abstract and finely crafted objects that Emily had made.
